This was a really good read. It gives insight as to why refugees go through just to have a safe home. Kudos to this girl and her family! Inspiring book.
I bought this book my my daughter who made the SoCal Junior Oylmpics this summer. It was a gift for her accomplishments. She loved it! Took it on vacation with us and she couldn’t put it down! She really empathized with her and the journey.
I read this book from front to back in 2 days. This is probably one of the best books I’ve read, easily top 5. It is a book full of perseverance, courage, bravery, tragedy, and triumph. It’s an emotional roller coaster and I highly recommend this book to anyone!
Amazing book that should be a movie .
I loved the book! Yusra's story is amazing. The journey, the purpose, the dream. Everything. I totally recommend it!
Amazing story and gives the refugee crisis a strong, human voice that is clearly still so young but has seen so much. Humans have the strength to overcome so much and this book shows the strength the author found in herself, in her sister and along the way in other refugees.
The power of the mind, amazing!. Her determination to swim, survive and spread the message on behalf of other refugees is certainly inspiring. A worthwhile read.
