To be honest, I knew nothing about these strange looking amphibians until I read Lolly Brown’s “Axolotl Facts & Information: A Complete Pet Owner’s Guide.”This guide is truly an essential read if you have ever considered owning one of these as a pet, or even if you just want to know a bit more about them. Everything is here; care, tanks, habitat, diet, structure, buying one, average life span, what to feed them, how much they should cost, how they breed (fyi: the sexes are hard to differentiate, you may get more than you bargained for!) health, how they are used in medical research, their ability to regenerate (please do not do this deliberately at home) types (colors) of Axolotl, facts and more.I realize now that this is not the right pet for my household, yet it would make an incredible addition for a friend of mine – and now I know which one to get, and how much to spend.

The first third of the book contains pages about an inch shorter than the rest of the book making it unreadable. There's even a sticker on the back of the book indicating that it's damaged. Why send someone a damaged book? Returning for refund. Please improve your quality control.

Many of the facts are incorrect and the book shows many pictures of emaciated axolotls and axolotls reciving improper care. Not good for someone looking into buying an axolotl.

I felt like this was a good beginner's guide.

Black Gypsy is a great read. The author did an excellent job walking you through her journey. I have to admit that I cried when she described a day in Egypt and made her declaration “in that moment, no matter what happens, it was worth it.” I felt like I was there sharing the view, taking in the sounds and her feelings. I was hooked from that point and hung on for the ride, the discovery, the knowledge, and the love!

OMG I loved this book! People spend too much time going through the motions in life and making the "smart" decisions out of fear. This shows the exploration of the what if....what if you took the road less traveled? What if you do chose the thing that would make you truly happy and fulfilled even for just this once? This book delves into a journey of a young woman who made a life changing choice that ended up taking her on a journey of self discovery and self love beyond imagination. The author Shawna Sharee told her story in such an intimate way that it kept me turning pages all night unable to put it down. I'm currently facing a life changing decision myself. If I hadn't read this I may have decided on something that would keep me stuck unfulfilled and trapped trying to hold onto what feels the most safe. This time I decided to follow her lead and step into the "what if" too. Her story was truly inspiring. I think I will gift a copy to my girlfriend's and neices for Christmas. Loved it and I'm a little jealous. (In a good way)

Great read! It’s a physical adventure and soul journey all in one. Felt like I was on an adventure myself. Her witty approach to detail literally had me laughing out loud. It’s amazing what beauty can from a “bad” situation. In every experience she goes through in this memoir she shares treasures that awakens the readers ability to redirect/reframe their life journey. I am so inspired!

I enjoyed this POWERFUL read for lots of reasons. The author's style of writing made me physically feel, I went to each travelled location with her. It awaken me again, to be determined and passionate about my own life journey. Her self discovery made me know, that I have ability to approach "eye brow" raising circumstances, with courage and wisdom.

I have to say that I recommend this book for EVERYONE coming into adulthood all the way through coming to a ripe old age. This book is so well written that you absolutely live the experiences with the author. I felt Shawna's joy, apprehension, amazement and gratitude as if I were right there with her. As an older woman, I took such pride in her growth and maturity and had so much love for her in her honesty, bravery and her spiritual depth to explore the unknowns of international travel as well as the unknowns of her own being. I may not ever travel the world as Shawna was able to do, but because of her ability to share her experience, find her place in creation and enjoy spiritual growth and fulfillment, I will no longer be satisfied with the limits I have put on my life and will strive to live a life rich in wonderment and joy. I am deserving of it, and I am enough and so are you. Please read this life changing book.

A MUST READ!!! The adventure, tone and flow of this book, captured and captivated my attention from the first few sentences I read. It kept me wanting more and more. The way Shawna described and illustrated each encounter, experience, touch, taste and smell made me believe that I was actually there inside of the story. Any doubts or hesitation I had before of believing and trusting in the unknown and embracing different mindsets or culture outside of my surroundings has diminished now that I adopted some of the wisdoms and life lessons she shared in this book. I will definitely recommend Black Gypsy to everyone I know.

There aren’t too many books where I see myself reflected in them. Black gypsy was the exception! I really appreciated the kander and wit that the author employed throughout the book. I felt like I was on the journey with her. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone and everyone. Whether your on a journey of self discovery or looking to start one, black gypsy is the perfect book that will resonate with your emotional experience.

By the time these people hear about me, many of them are desperate. They're overweight, they're unhealthy, and they look and feel years older than they are.These people have tried diet after diet. They've dutifully counted calories, calculated fat grams, and weighed portions. And instead of losing their extra £ds, they weigh more than ever.I call myself the "last-chance doctor" because I'm often their last hope. I can't fail them like their previous doctors did.So I don't fail them. Instead, I show them how to take their extra weight off easily . . . and keep it off permanently.And there's another way I'm different from their earlier doctors. When I talk with my patients about their weight problems, I don't tell them, "It's your fault."You know why? Because if you're struggling with a weight problem, it's not your fault. Here's why.HOW THE "EXPERTS" MADE YOU GAIN WEIGHTBefore I tell you how to take off your extra £ds, I need to start at the beginning. So here's my question: What made you gain weight in the first place?Here's the deal. It's not greed or low willpower. It's bad advice.If you're like most people, you've spent years obediently eating what nutrition "experts" told you to eat: sandwiches, wraps, and mounds of pasta. Bowl after bowl of cereal. Margarine and heavily processed seed oils like canola oil. Soy burgers and other soy "Frankenfoods." Egg substitutes. Sugary nonfat yogurt loaded with artificial colors and flavors. Chemical sweeteners created in a laboratory.What's the result?• You're constantly spiking your blood sugar with high-carbohydrate foods. This causes your body to release more insulin--and insulin lays down fat. Worse yet, your cells eventually become resistant to this insulin overload and start slamming the door on insulin and the sugar it's carrying (a condition called insulin resistance). As a result, this sugar gets turned into fat and goes right to your belly. In addition, insulin resistance causes you to crave more carbs, creating a vicious cycle.• You're making your gut sick. The trillions of microbes in your intestines play a huge role in determining how much you weigh. Feed them food they're not genetically wired to use--from massive amounts of soy to gut-altering pseudo-foods like sucralose--and you have an unhealthy ecosystem. This leads to body-wide inflammation (I'll talk more about this later) that packs on the £ds.• You're robbing your body of the natural, real foods you need to keep your cells glowing, your hormones optimized, and your metabolism running on high. As a result, you're never truly healthy--and you keep gaining weight.With millions of people following this bad advice, is it any surprise that we're currently experiencing an epidemic of obesity and diabetes? Yep . . . this is my shocked face.WHY CRAVINGS AREN'T YOUR FAULT EITHERNow, let's talk about something else: those uncontrollable cravings you get for junk foods like doughnuts, pizza, french fries, and cupcakes.I'm betting your doctors tell you that resisting these cravings is simply a matter of increasing your willpower. (They love to lay guilt trips on you, don't they?) But guess what: There are biological reasons for these cravings--and again, the diet that "experts" prescribe is largely to blame. Here's a look at two key reasons why it's hard to resist the siren song of that junk food.1. Leptin resistanceLeptin is a hormone your fat cells use to communicate with your brain about how much energy you need. High levels of leptin make you feel full, while low levels make you feel hungry. That's why I call leptin your hunger trigger.That's pretty straightforward, right? But here's where things can start to go wrong.If you eat a diet loaded with high-carb foods--including so-called healthy foods, like whole grains, pasta, and brown rice--you can develop leptin resistance (similar to the insulin resistance I just talked about). These foods cause your leptin levels to rise, and eventually your cells compensate by becoming insensitive to leptin.When this happens, your cells no longer hear leptin's message that you're full. So even if you don't really need to eat, you experience deep-down cravings--and you're genetically wired to respond to these cravings by seeking high-calorie foods.2. Sugar addictionIf you eat a diet that's high in sugary foods, you can actually suffer physical symptoms when you go without them. That's because sugar is addictive.You may be thinking, "Seriously, Kellyann? Isn't addiction a pretty strong word?" But it's no exaggeration. Think about this: Rats in a maze will choose a path that leads to Oreos as frequently as a path that leads to cocaine, and the Oreos have an even stronger effect than cocaine on a part of the rats' brains that's linked to addiction.1 Moreover, animal studies show that sugar produces three symptoms consistent with addiction: cravings, tolerance (so you want more and more), and withdrawal.2Now, let's talk about where the sugar in your diet comes from. Sure, some of it comes from candy and cupcakes. But if you're eating the way most "experts" tell you to eat, a large amount of it is coming from the foods these experts recommend. I'm a big fan of bone broth and was so excited when this book arrived. It didn't disappoint. The recipes produce mouth-watering, yummy dishes that are easy to make and nutritious to boot. Who knew there were so many ways to use this healing broth.

Great recipes. I have been on several weeks. Can see improvement in my joints already. I had knee surgery 2 years ago and my knee hurt all the time. In just a few weeks I can walk more with less painful. I have no intention of giving up bone broth soon.

LOVE this cook book. The recipes are easy and very nutritious. It takes the mystery of how to apply Bone Broth into your daily meals. Highly recommend it!

Awesome book. I started Bone Broth Diet 4 months ago. Lost 30 pounds. Yes that is quick, however my doctor is on board. I eat quite a lot, just not wheat, sugar, or dairy. Yes it's hard, but I feel so good. Glad to have some recipes to make meals more interesting.

This cookbook is super easy to follow and the food tastes amazing. I love love love the mussels with tomato and fennel broth. Well written but, ingredients are quite pricey. The bone broth recipe is very time consuming. I for one did not care for the taste. I used each recommended ingredient and followed the recipe. Brilliant idea just not for me.

This is a great book. If you get this book, you don't need the diet book. It hyas all the information in here.

I have read several of Mark's books and extracted good information from all of them.I am an agent and an investor myself and have done well. I always get great nuggets of ideas that will help on my next flip. Thanks Mark.

Great book. Easy read. I have been flipping for 3 years and I am always looking for more knowledge. This book gave me some new strategies and ideas and was also motivating. I am looking forward to getting the rental book as well.

Stay as far away from this drivel as possible.Scattered, terrible publishing/chapter structure, non-sequential or progressive, switches from housing to rentals every other sentence, double-speak, on and on.I read this in a day and only took one piece of advice from it: don’t ever buy another book written by this dude.

Good but a little regional

I was reading a lot of information about real estate and flipping houses. Definitely Mark's book is the one with the most valuable, current and clear details about flipping. Highly recommended!

I have bought and read a lot of RE books over the years and find Mark's writing style one of the clearest and easiest to understand. I recognize some of the material from his blog post over the years but but its all good info and seeing it again reinforces it in my mind. I have only finished six flips since starting two years ago but seeing how much Mark has accomplished gives me confidence I can build my business into something big!

The author guides you through a risky process and allows you to learn from his and others mistakes. Well written engaging content keeps you reading through well detailed subject matter. A must have for anyone thinking of purchasing a property.

I am working my way through Mark's books and have just finished this one. A ton of great information and good advice on avoiding trouble. I highly recommend this book for anyone considering this investing approach.
