I hate to say this, because the author says he's experienced, but you can't trust the information in this book. I started getting suspicious when in some spots they talked about New York State instead of California. I finally picked up the latest official DMV manual and started all over again. I'm glad I did. I found the official manual and the DMV on line practice tests were the right way to go. Also, now that I have taken the DMV test, I realize that the Study Guide from Amazon left out key information that was asked on the test. There's no doubt in my mind that I would not have passed the test if I had relied on this study guide. The author should be ashamed at the sloppiness with which this guide is written.

Wow! The amount of information in this book is astounding. It was so helpful to learn about what every sign means and be fully confident in myself knowing I'll remember everything and can always look back if I don't. I'll definitely be quizzing myself with the test questions. What an amazing and informational book!

This was badly in need of an editor. Seemed more like an editing of a NY book than a California book.

Book appeared to be a cut and paste from other sources. In fact one section cited New York information instead of California. Book was adequate but not as good as it needed to be.

Unfortunately I purchased this book and studied to take the test to renew my license. For the first time since I've been driving, I failed the test. The lesson I learned is to use the official DMV manual to study for the test.

I loved this book. Hank has a way of making everything very understandable. I used this guide to teach my little brother Brett how to drive. He will probably still get lost along the way but I feel very comfortable with his understanding of the vehicle and the rules of the road now. Thanks Hank, great stuff!

DonahueI am fascinated by Tompall Glaser but could never find much information about him or his music... this book solved that! This book is written extremely well by Kevin Glaser and is not one-sided in anyway. Letters from Tompall's army days made me feel quite sad and gave me a totally different view of Tompall. I have always believed he was the most underrated country singer we have known and could never understand why he never made it as big as Waylon and Willie. From reading this book it has opened my eyes more to what Tompall actually did for country music and helping others singers with their music, breaking down barriers and standing up for other musicians. Basically, he put others music before his own. Stories from hillbilly central are very informative and amusing. You get to know what the Great Tompall was really like, good and bad. Towards the end of the book stories from his touring days in England are described in great detail giving a more private side to Tompall. I still find it hard to believe the County Music Hall of Fame has not yet recognized Tompall and using the address given in the back of the book I will be contacting them with my opinions. If you love Tompall's music as I do this book is a total gem for your collection. If you have never heard of him track down some CDs or vinyl and enjoy his beautiful voice. I enjoyed the book immensely. I met Tompall Glaser back in about 1973-74 when I was working for US Army Special Services in Germany. He played at an NCO Club in the Stuttgart area. A friend from the States was the manager of the club so we had a chance to visit and have adult beverages with Tompall. I've loved Tompall and the Glaser's music for decades. I'm so glad to know that they were on the leading edge of process in the Nashville music business. Check out some of the YouTube videos of Tompall and his brothers performing. Terrific!

Very interesting, reading actual letters from Tompall to his family back home when he was in the service. Haven’t finished it yet but enjoying it.

As the author tells you, this book is about Tompall, not him and the Glaser brothers. If you are a great fan of all three brothers as I am, you may be disappointed. Jim and Chuck are barely mentioned. Hopefully someone will write a book about Tompall and the Glaser Brothers soon.

One of the original country music outlaws, Tompall's story is one of both happiness and saddness. I knew Tompall, Jim and Chuck before they hit Nashville so the book had instant appeal to me. Kevin provided a good read into the life of the man with a golden voice.

I found it to be just what I was looking for. The book tells the story of Tompaul and his brothers, , Chuck and Jim.I believe that people who like the Glasers will find it Interesting. Thanks for sending the book so promptly. C. Trindle..

I bought this for my mom. She has always loved Tompall and the Glaser Brothers. Great story, and lots of info she didn't previously know. Well-written by his nephew, who lives in Wisconsin, as do we. Neat tie-in.

I don't want to give this book a bad rating, it just wasn't the book for me. I must have missed something because I thought it would have recipes in it but it didn't. The book mentions some low-carb dishes you could eat but no recipes, nor any mention of where to go to find the recipe. Sadly it did not guide me anywhere. The cover of the book shows pictures of Low-Carb food so I though it would have some recipes in it, but no recipe or reference to where you go to get that recipe.

Haven't gotten through entire book yet however, it is an interesting read and loaded with great information!

This isn’t a “book” but more of a 50 page conversation by an unknown author who gives her opinions (and mis-spellings) of the Atkins Diet. It’s very over priced, too. Should be about $1.99. Order the REAL Atkins book of you want to know about the diet. Don’t waste your time on this pamphlet of redundancy. I wasted $10. You don’t have to.

This book was a complete waste, even though it wasn't expensive. Think "Cliffs Notes" for Atkins. If you already know the general things about Atkins, you don't need this, and if you want enough detail to correctly follow the diet, it won't help

Great abbreviated resource for a quick delivery of what Atkins is, what to expect, and how to implement the diet.

I liked how they explained each phase. I was needing clarification on phase 1 and this book really helped! Even gave meal ideas, which I loved.

After getting this I realized that although they tell you some ideas for a menu, there aren’t any recipes to go along with the menus. This was extremely disappointing. I which I hadn’t bought it even at the low kindle price!
