It's a pretty informative book. A little dated since a lot of this subject seems to revolve around technology. There were a couple of things that bugged me. There is a lot of fluff to fill up the book. The font is big, there are LOTS of things repeated throughout the book. There were lots of typos and grammatical errors. An editing issue. It served it's point to me though which was to learn about this business. Those were just annoyances. Luckily it cost me $19 and not the $30 as listed on the back. I would have been mad if I spent $30. I think they should edit this thing again, get rid of the errors and repeats, update the technology and price quotes, make this a very small book that you can read in a day or two, and priced around $10-15. That's just me though. About to read her other book How to Start a Home-Based Bookkeeping Business which looks like it's more well written right off the bat.

Starting a business is difficult thing to do. Michelle takes a lot the guess work out the preparation by dividing the tasks that need to be accomplished into clearly written chapters in her book. Remember the purpose of this book is how to start a business and not how to use QuickBooks. If you read it with that thought in mind, it is a great book. As a bonus, there are several interviews with other successful QuickBooks practice owners, which give their slant on what was important to them to get their business off the ground. I had several questions for Michelle and it was nice that she answered within a day or so as well as gave me other web sites where I could get additional information. Not often you get a response from an author. I would recommend this book to people who wanted to start a consulting business of any kind because most of the information is reverent.

This books should have been pulled from the shelves 10 years ago. Most of the information references around 2004, and is simply no longer accurate.Shame on Amazon for promoting this.

I received it today, FINALLY. It's a little short for the price. And, doesn't cover very much on QuickBooks itself; It covers how to start a business which most people know about already..

This guide and tutorial is a must for anyone who wants to have a better understanding on how to run a successful bookkeeping and especially a QuickBooks support business. All the material I needed was in this book and I am very thankful for it. Just knowing these tips has made me much more confident. This document is very well written, accurate in detail, and helpful every step of the way. Michelle does an excellent job providing the reader with information and a thought process for making better decision as they are starting their business. I use it as a reference book as well. There is much good information here that is cause and effect where you see results from following the instruction.

This book gives a realistic picture of the needs to be a QuickBook Consultant. The book is well written and gives advice from real Quick Book consultants. The book is easy to understand and written in layman's terms. I would recommend it if you are considering to be a Quick Book consultant, although it was written during a different economy than today and some of the charts may be different from todays economy.It does not detail the QuickBooks program so you will need to buy a different book to learn the actual QuickBooks Program.

If you are new to QuickBooks or thinking of starting your own company or better yet, become a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. This is a step by step comprehensive book that will explain how to start your own successful QuickBooks Consulting Firm. I became a Pro Advisor 4 years ago. Is is the best thing I ever did for myself financially. I didn't really use it for the first 2 years. The 2nd should always be about the fun you can have with that language. Without some fun why would spend the time to dig deeper or find the tricks or develope expertise. For the last forty years 'games' fave been and are now that fun! Enjoy.

This is a very well written book, specially for the young who want to get started with programming. My 7 year old son has being able to try the different projects and get immediate results out of it with minor help. Even thought there are lots of examples and even videos on the internet that illustrate how to use the Scratch building blocks for programming, the step by step approach in this book is definitely a big plus.

Good book, easy to follow. But don't rely on my word because I know programming already. I taught three elementary kids with it for three weeks during summer vacation. And they loved it. I intended to teach them about 1 hour 30 minutes including typing lesson. But each lesson ended up over two hours without break. Kids loved it so much that they refused to end the lesson, a rare case, indeed.

Great step-by-step guide with plenty of room for creativity. I've spent hours with my son, enjoying the projects and modifying them.

This book helped me a lot.

My 11 year old niece loves this book and it's very easy for her to follow along on her own.

kid loved it and already finished the whole thing!! :)

Prior to reading this book I had no background with the Akashic Records. I thought this was going to be my summer beach book, but it never made it to the beach! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. As a person who is full of self-doubt, I always find myself looking externally for answers and guidance during big life transitions, to other people, as well as guides. This book is the first steps in the process of empowering myself to use my own skills to access the records for myself, and start to unwind my layers and patterns. I love that the author, whom I have done an Akashic reading with, writes in a relatable way and breaks down the steps to access the records, as well as sharing her amazing guided meditations.I especially liked the chapters on Karma, Family Patterns and Karmic Entanglement. It was really interesting to pay attention to what thoughts about my karma surfaced just by reading about it! I know this will indeed be a practice for me, and I appreciate the easy steps and companion meditations to help me along the way.

I have read other books on the Quantum Field, and I always feel like my eyes are glazing over, just like in tenth grade science class. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that Melissa explains it in clear, simple terms that even the "rightest brain" of us can understand. She really has a gift of gently connecting all the dots so that things make sense in an often swirling space. I could really feel the Oneness as she spoke about how we transcend through our lives and incarnate. I always thought the Akashic records were this mystical place that only the chosen could work with, and I was not even close. She explains the records, how they can help us and help others, and how to easily connect with and use them. Her meditations are clear and connect easily. I can't wait to continue to dive into them and see how I can continue to ascend and unwind my Karma as she says. Happiness is within reach for all of us, and love is all around!

This is my 5th personal bible to walk into. I had been in search of one that had larger text, thicker paper, and margins for study notes or doodling. However, this bible does not have thick paper (but it is quality), nor does it have larger print. I read the reviews before purchasing it, and realized that right away. I have started reading through it and am in love with how each book of the bible is directed to the characteristics of Jesus. Literally, each book has a page before it that says, "Jesus.... our _________" where the next page starts the book with a thorough explanation of when the book was written, why, who wrote it, and what you will find in the book. In the pages of each book, there are side notes for certain scriptures that help you understand them. And of course, the articles from the authors are AWESOME!!! I am using my prismacolors to highlight instead of actually highlighters (as I do not want them to bleed through) and have my book-tabs to help me better navigate the bible, and have already found a lot of additional help with studying the different books of the bible, from the helpful notes and introductions that this bible provides. I highly recommend it for anyone who is trying to walk back through the bible and see things in a new way, or for Christians who are looking for some extra bang in their reading. Love Love Love this!

I love this Bible! Got the grey cloth-bound version free at this year's Passion Conference in January (yay!). My Dad isn't really a Christian, but last month I left this Bible (the cloth-bound one) lying around and he picked it up and told me he liked it. I gifted it to him and got myself the blue/green leather-bound one because I loved The Jesus Bible so much, and it was helping me a lot with my devotions. A few days ago, my Dad sent me a text telling me how much reading the Bible is making him understand the Word. So yay, I'm really grateful for this Bible! The gospel is preached on every page, thanks to the notes that point to Jesus. I might be getting it for a few Christian friends struggling with their faith.Since I have used both versions, I thought a comparison might be helpful for people considering either :)Cloth-bound version (Grey): The cloth-bound version feels a lot heavier than the leather-bound imo. It also has a lot of space around the pages if you want a Bible to journal with. Con: I dropped it from my bed by mistake before I gave it away, and the cover tore :((. Which is part of the reason I decided to go with the leather-bound this time. But it can be glued back if this happens to you (on the other hand it won't happen if you're a responsible person who doesn't sleep with your Bible on the bed haha).Leather-bound version (Green/Blue): The leather-bound is really pretty! It's a light bluish-green. It's also a lot lighter than the cloth-bound version, so you can definitely carry it around without it feeling heavy. It has gold-lined edges too, which I think looks really cool. Con: not much really. It doesn't come with the spaces around the pages so it is NOT a journaling Bible, if that is important to you. But for the lightness, you can probably get an extra notebook to journal with.In conclusion, both versions are great, and The Jesus Bible itself is Jesus- and Gospel-focused, and lovely besides :)Edit: The leather-bound version DOES come with a bit of space. But for some reason it just seems a bit smaller and less journaling-friendly to me than the cloth-bound :/

I love everything about this Bible....almost. The linen cover is stunningly beautiful. The concept of showing Jesus throughout the Bible is brilliant. I even like the white space someone else criticized. However--seriously guys--you couldn't make a 9 point print Bible? Yes, I could buy reading glasses, but they will only work if I use contacts; my regular glasses have only minor magnification--and there's the astigmatism factor. I'm wanting to use this in teaching the Scriptures--but the print is ridiculously small. For that reason, I give it a 3 instead of a 5.

I won't lie--I was initially drawn into this Bible because of the load of dreamy Instagram posts (and rave reviews) that I saw involving it. (Obviously, that's probably not the ideal way of thinking, but...) Anyway, it's great looking. The concept is really neat. Being able to see Jesus' story throughout is neat. That being said, once I opened it and really started checking it out, I knew it wasn't right for me. I had been using (and still am) the Life Application Study Bible and I've just become extremely accustomed to that layout and having all of those great references. The biggest "problem" that I had with The Jesus Bible was the size of the text. I don't have the best eyes, but I'm only 29, and have no problem with my close-up reading vision...but good gravy! The font is small. I think this would be a good Bible for a lot of people, but it just didn't work out for me.

Being able to read about Christ from the first page to the last was an eye opener. The added sidebars on particular scripture and the articles added by some of the most well know servants of God are inspiring. This is a Bible that can be picked up as you would any other book and read until you can't read anymore. Finding Christ is every book makes it thrilling to read all 66 of them, especially ones that I have not totally read. Thank you very much for the team who put this Bible together. What an utterly fun book!It took me a long time to read this book, not because of the writing, but because of the exceptional writing. The book is full of gems that you'll want to highlight, not to mention the numerous recipes that make me wish I had the physical book and not the Kindle version. To those who love to cook--especially desserts--get the hardcover book!David writes straight out about what it's like for an American with a smattering of French language skills to pick up and move to France. He dove into the culture, the people, the place and made his own way. He admits to the mistakes he made and the corrective lessons the French were only too happy to provide.If you think a relocation is in your future, I'd say to read this book and ponder what you'll really be up against--and the delightful gifts you'll receive.Here's a quote from near the end of the book: "What helped was that I understand the food and tried my best to adapt to the culture, rather than trying to make the culture adapt to me. More important, though, I learned to take the time to get to know people, especially the vendors and merchants, who would patiently explain their wares to me."He's all about learning and learning some more and waking up the next day to learn again. And there's a lesson we all need to cling to.

I have always s liked David Lebovitz, enjoy his recipes and newsletter, so I was ready to enjoy his book about Paris. I have been to Paris 20+ times, twice for long stays, so I at least have a feel for the city. I have never had anyone cut in line in front of me, never had anyone, except another American be rude or disdainful to me, had no problem getting change back so I am at a loss as to some of the “problems” he has in Paris. Please don’t think he has the last word on this glorious city!

This book is perfection. It contains the 3 elements that I consider to be integral to any good book: laughter, tears, and good, old fashioned relate-ability.I purchased this book a few months before I went to Paris for the first time. I admit, I wasn't sure what to expect of it, having never read the author's blog. My, was I in for a pleasant surprise.From the first page, he had me smiling, then chuckling, then throwing back my head and laughing, imagining his adventures through the city of lights. What I loved about this book was that it wasn't touristy-- it was genuinely the experience of someone who has lived there and discovered both the unexpected good and bad of a city that has become legend.His descriptions are so lovely, vibrant, and colorful. I learned that "real butter" croissants are straight across, while butter substitutes are curved (and tried the real thing when I went to Paris-- thanks David!). His descriptions of the food, and the care and pride with which Parisians prepare and present their craft, are mesmerizing. Thanks to David I knew to say "Bonjour, Madame!" when I entered the famous Pierre Herme macaron Patisserie in Paris, as well as to say "Merci, Monsieur," when I left the bus. I found that just these little bits of Paris etiquette helped me enormously when I visited.The recipes are amazingly delicious, and his commentary throughout makes it feel like you are sitting at the kitchen table with a trusted friend, rather than listening to a chef rattle off a recipe. I loved his observations about what you can do to troubleshoot, or even what to do to cover mistakes.Overall, just a treasure. Rarely does a "celebrity" book live up to the hype. This one is going to live to be 100 ;) Thanks David for an inspiring book through which I intend to reread whenever I get homesick for my Paris vacation.

Enjoyable read. I have been to Paris a handful of times and always seem to desire a return trip. I have never felt the French were "rude", or "standoffish", just themselves. Cultures in this world are all unique -- it's always up to the beholder. Thank you for sharing the up close & personal details of your new life in Paris and the adjustment it takes in a different society from one into which you are born. Your recipes are an added bonus!

Fortunately I took this book with me on a trip to Hawaii last week because it helped distract me from worrying about incoming Hurricane Lane. It was a book I wanted to keep reading. I never got bored, it's relatable and humorous, and It eased my nerves when preparing to fly out of the path of a storm. I love David's humor and writing style. To me he's very real. I noticed someone saying they've been to Paris many times and have never experienced what David is talking about. Huh? Are we talking about the same Paris? I've been there a few times and can relate to everything he says. The Sweet Life in Paris made me laugh many times, got me through a storm, makes Parisians even more endearing, and now I'm going to read his other books, too! Don't stop writing David!

David Lebovitz is an American pastry chef who moved to Paris and decided to blog about his experiences in France. I must admit, however, that I was first drawn to the book because of the beautiful croissant on the cover. I had never heard of Lebovitz before this book. “The Sweet Life in Paris” is a group vignettes based on blog posts by David Lebovitz. In this short and enjoyable book, he tells us about his daily life in Paris: the rude Parisians, the daily manifestations under his window in the Bastille section of town, the honking horns, the horrible coffee. Still, it’s not all bad. There are also the outdoor markers, the baguettes, and the chocolate. There is so much chocolate! And it all sounded delightful. The book also includes recipes after each vignette and, let me tell you, some of the recipes sound delicious. I haven’t tried making anything yet, but I most definitely will. And despite all the cranky Parisians depicted in the book, it still made me want to visit Paris.

This book is about as fundamental as it gets. The diagrams/maps/etc look like they were drawn by a child, the black and white photographs have little contrast and/or useful detail. The "where to" and "how to fish" information is very basic and I can't imagine it being very helpful to anyone but the most inexperienced angler. If you are willing to spend a couple of hours doing a bit of online research, you can find better and more complete information about fishing the Florida panhandle without ponying up a dime...much less $12.95.

Great local insider info on specfic places and techniques.like having a good friend who works in a local bait shop.keep it with your maps and tide tables.

This was a good source for fishing the local areas but I would have liked to have had more detail for catching the specific species of fish identified. Like, maybe some information for the preferred baits for Pompano like sand fleas would have be a start.

Must have book for those just starting out in salt water fishing on the Emerald Coast.Full of great tips for beginners

Very good book for someone that needs a little guidance on saltwater fishing. I've also fished freshwater, but have always wanted to know more about how to catch fish while vacationing at the beach. After reading this, I have more confidence in what I will be doing this coming month while surf fishing in Florida.

The book is good for someone that is new to the area. Would recommend the book to others.
